RAINS AGENCY OPENS IN COOKEVILLE
One of the longest-serving insurance agencies in the Upper Cumberland is opening an office in Cookeville.
The Rains Agency is scheduled to open its doors July 5 in the Merchant's Square shopping center (next to Cici's Pizza) at 541 S. Willow Avenue.
"We're very excited about bringing our brand of friendly and experienced insurance services to Cookeville and Putnam County," said Steve Rains, president/CEO of the agency. "This is a great opportunity for residents of Cookeville to see how a locally owned, customer-oriented insurance agency can make a difference for their families, as we've done for families in Fentress, Morgan and Cumberland counties for years."
Chip Buck - who is licensed in life, health and property/casualty - will serve as the agent for the Cookeville office, while Jessica Parrott, also fully licensed, will serve as a customer service representative.
The Rains Agency is a full-service, independent agency and offers auto, home, health, life and commercial liability insurance, including workers compensation, through a variety of companies. A few of those include AllState, Auto Owners, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Jefferson Pilot, Indiana, Safeco and Westfield. The agency also provides investment services.
Founded in 1927, The Rains Agency is a subsidiary of Progressive Savings Bank and has offices in Jamestown, Wartburg and Crossville. The Cookeville office can be reached at 528-NSUR(6787).
